MAYA
MOULLINEX
Maya is a Porto-based interior designer and project manager who loves making things with her hands; she was trained in art and design for public spaces at the Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto, and is currently pursuing a sustainable architecture postgraduate degree at ESAP.
Originally from Poland, where she studied landscape architecture and urban design, Maya brings a blended approach that brings mixed-purpose spaces to life. Before launching her own studio in 2025, she spent four years leading interior projects for a property company, designing and delivering homes.
She interior designed and co-curated Fisga, a creative community space. This project helped inform Maya’s career through daily interaction with multidisciplinary artists and by hosting many events, performances, and exhibitions. Maya was hired by Fisga’s parent company - Grandpas Studio, a digital design studio to assist in production of immersive installations and videomapping projects.
Maya has experience in production/set design for Zara and the Calvi on the Rocks festival in Corsica.
Her work sits between these varied experiences: the discipline of getting a home, hospitality business, or commercial space finished on time and on budget, translating the client’s narrative into a fully finished space.
She thinks that’s one of the most exciting things about being designer - you always explore, you always observe, and never really switch it off.
Maya works with private clients and companies in Porto, across Portugal, and worldwide, and takes on the whole thing- concept, drawings, sourcing, contractors, site, or any part of it.
